SBI is located in rural Chivi in the Masvingo province. The goal of SBI is to reach rural churches in Zimbabwe through training their pastors with theological education in the local language.

The pastors do not pay anything apart for their transport to and from SBI as most cannot afford this. The men live at the school for a week out of the month thereby affording discipleship opportunities.

Instruction is largely through a verse by verse approach with over 40 hours of instruction per month using a literal, grammatical, historical, and contextual method of interpretation while focusing on the author’s intent.
